Shaun Jacobs is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer. Originally hailing from South Africa, where he received critical acclaim for several chart-topping hits, including a SAMA® (South African Music Award) for Best Adult Contemporary Album for Love Can, as well as a nomination for both Best Producer and Best Engineer, Shaun has since moved to Los Angeles, laying the groundwork for global success.
Having been raised overseas playing guitar, drums, piano, and bass, Shaun has summoned a new era of music, applying a myriad of fresh new influences onto western rock n’ roll. Merging into the music scene under the guidance of his opera-singing father, Shaun’s earliest exposure to vocals came from inside of the home. His brother, also a producer, would often ask Shaun to help with mixing tracks. From there, Shaun realized that he had a real passion for creating music, inspiring him to commit to music artistry full-time.
Since moving to the U.S., Shaun has received recognition for his versatile sound, working alongside top songwriters in both Los Angeles and Nashville. An expert at captivating audiences with his cool and bluesy undertones, Shaun co-wrote the song, “Youngr,” with Brazilian DJ Bruno Martini. The celebrated hit, which has accumulated over 16M streams on Spotify since its launch, was produced by Timbaland and features Shaun on vocals and guitar. Following his success on this track, Shaun’s music has been featured in various brand campaigns, including BMW, XBOX, and Ralph Lauren X Bitmoji. On November 13, 2020, Shaun released his catchy single from the 2020 Ralph Lauren X Bitmoji collaboration, titled “Look At Me Now,” and has since followed up with an anticipated Christmas-themed album and music video, All My Christmases, which debuted in December 2020.
Thus far in 2021, Shaun has continued forwarding his role as a producer, mixer, and engineer, with two songs recently featured during primetime UFC Fight Island broadcasts. In February, Shaun released a reimagined version of his original track, “Worry,” titled “Don’t Worry,” produced with JBroadway. On April 30th, Shaun released his latest track, “Say You Will Remember Me,” alongside a same-titled music video. On May 14, the electronic music duo Young Bombs launched their remix of “Say You Will Remember Me,” now streaming on all major platforms. Also, Shaun has recently secured a sync deal with General Mills and the Cannes Lions Awards Film® for his original song, “Look At Me Now.” Looking ahead, Shaun is thrilled to share more with his audience, doubling down on what he does best: being a multi-talented creative with a deep appreciation for the evolution of music.
